Choosing between the one i love and what i love doing

heres a little back round. me and my friend robbie were best friends for 2 years before he introduced me to his friend and my now fionce heather. me and heather live together and spend tons of time together and robbie wants things to be like they used to be. hes even threathening the leave the band that me him and ricky have worked so hard to make successfull. what do i do. should i choose my band or my gf

whats the problem w/ u doing both?as long as you balance them out it shouldnt matter especially if u &robbie are good friends...if you have to chose though, i have to say...not trying to be mean but if theres any doubt in ur mind over if u should stick w/ the ur girl or the band, maybe u guys rnt ready 2 get married(u saidshes ur fiance rite?)just a thought

id just be happy if heather would let me hang out with robbie more than 2 times a month maybe just once a week while she does her home work would be fine with me. but i still dont think robbie should threathen our friendhship over this. i just hate being in the middle of this. we used to all get along but now they hate eachother because they both want me to theirselves

I don't understand... love is a natural part of life.. why should you have to choose between having a fiance and having a life? Sure, so you take time off to go out, what not, but I can't imagine how it could affect the band so much.
Perhaps your friend is jealous?
On the other hand, if you are CONTINUOUSLY skipping practice, etc, to be with her, then perhaps it is time to start weighing out your priorities better.

Perhaps you should take with Heather. If she loves you then she should understand that you need a little bit more time to be with the band...
For instance with me, I would be hard-pressed to let a boyfriend drag me away from dance practice, but all the rest of the time would be his ;-)

um... sorry if this sounds harsh, but she cant ALLOW you to do anything if you have power over yourself.explain to her that robbie was a part of your life before her and that doesnt make her less important, but you have other responsibilites, friends, etc., in your life.invite her to come w/ you to practice, go on 'double dates' with you heather, robbie and his girl if he has someone.negotiate with her.

ok here it goes. dont give up your band for this girl. if she really loves you then she will let you do both and wont keep you from seeing your friends. she seems like the type of person who wants to be controlling over wat you are doing. if your band is pretty successful then dont leave it. friends are forever and relationships are sometimes forever but not always. just trying to help but its your decision man, choose wisely.

we never skip practices infact im the one that hosts all the practice i think robbie is just extremely jelous that we dont hang out like we used to and i spend all my time with heater

i just feel that both people are wrong.

heather is wrong for not letting me spend more time with robbie and robbie is wrong for threathening to end our band and friendship over this.

i know friends are forevor but my fionce is my best friend and as much as i love robbie (as a friend) heather is one that has made a better person of me. i just wish i could find a way to have the best of both worlds. a wonderful fionce and a friend who i love hanging out with
