A Ballad

I need a few examples of a ballad... Ive been asked by my english teacher to write one, and I have never done so before. Does anyone want to flaunt their work for me?
If so, much appreciated.
Oh, and if you have one accessable (sp?) could I get an example on how to write one? such as: specifics.
