Privatized Health Care

I'm doing a project for Social Studies. We have to write a topic on whether Health Care in Canada should be privatized or not. I think it would be an interesting to discuss your opinions on this subject, including the pros and cons and why you believe what you believe.

And a question to those who live in a country with privatized health care (i.e. the United States): what do you think about it? Do you think that it is fair that you have to pay thousands of dollars to have your health needs taken care of?

That's a good point, Bob, I've never thought of it like that before.
