Superman's ok, but I find it hard to identify with anyone who has no really viable weaknesses.

Ok, you have kryptonite, but other than a mineral that comes from another frickin' planet, what else can hurt him?

Give me Dare Devil, or Indiana Jones, someone real with real weaknesses and torments. Someone who takes a real beating from time to time, you know? They're the characters who feel more believable and make people empathise and get behind.

No real weaknesses? He has the most real and common weakness I know. Lana. He loves her and has sexual relations with her. Believe it or not both have their forms of weakness.

Ok, fair enough, but compare that to Peter Parker's plight.

Superman may have love and relationships, that represent a human side and emotional turmoil (represented very well in Richard Doner's 1st Superman movie) but who knows about them and gets to use them against him?

supermans complete garbage... a jedi could totally waste him... plus most of them are sexier

and supermans movie.... he doesn't throw a single punch!

Supermans weakness, as explained by terence Stamp in Superman 2, is his love for humanity..something that could be easily exploited.

But I agree with bret, he is too powerful.

John Constantine, Or Preacher....now they are real heroes.

Ugh Tobey Maguire is the worst Spiderman, it should have been Hugh Jackson way hotter... actually Jackman should be every superhero

Superman yes he is very powerful and does not have many weakness. But some of you may have forgotten his alter-ego Mr.Clark Kent. Now this dude anyone can relate to him. His loneliness, his girl problems, his work problems. Now let me tell you, this guy has many weaknesses.

Yes, you have a point, but they are not real weaknesses. the Clark Kent persona was invented by Kal el in order to have a life outside of the Superman persona. Therefore they are not real problems, but ones he creates on purpose to help him fade into the background.

Clark may not get the girl, but Superman definitely does, so where is the weakness?
