Yellow Belt Exam

Tomorrow is my yellow belt exam in goju ryu (a martial art)
It feels so sudden, not too long ago I took the white and yellow belt exam, and now another one.
I don't feel too great about it. I have a cold, my period, lots of dance practice already running through my head, it's soooo hot over here, being summer in Chile.
I wish I had more time, and I don't. I don't want to fail, but it seems as though that's what I'm best at, in every way, I fail.
Maybe it's just who I am.

No ,I think you will do just fine! If you've made it up to yellow, and followed through with it all this time, then just remember that you can only go forward! And if you fail it (which i dont think you will;) ) you can just redo it again!..right? But still, I ve got a friend who does a martial art, and he started from the bottom and worked his way up gradually...and now he's teaching it! and he's only 16! if he can do it, you can too....even with the whole guy/girl difference thing.

But just try your hardest, and push through all thats going on.. and good luck!

    ^^Hey, thanks so much! :-D

I just got back from the dojo. All though the exam I was so nervous, and then I made these really stupid mistakes, like forgot where to scream.. not so much forgot as just didn't react quick enough. So it was like "oops, I missed."
I guess what saved me was that I knew these defense techniques from 1 to 7, instead of just 1 to 5, and I did an extra kata.
My sister got passed to yellow belt, not just white and yellow belt, which was a jump of one belt, but she's been doing it for some time now. The guy that's been there the shortest period of time also passed accordingly.
At the end my teacher looked at me and shook his head sadly and said "we're going to have to take away your belt" and I just nodded because I had been expecting something like that, like a demotion to white belt.
Well, I got orange. No idea how, and I'm still waiting for a call where he admits that he didn't add up the score correctly.

Yellow belts easiest to get. Don't get sonervous over it, because when you start getting up to where I am, you won't last long. Just do what you've been taught, is what my sensie always said. If you do, you can't fail.

It was weird, that it was in fact a very short, very easy test.
The white and yellow belt exam was really difficult for me, so it was a surprise when I just went through the movements, tried to get them right, thought I had failed... and got the belt.
A shock. It hasn't sunk in yet :-P
