Zepher.

Well, I was supposed to get a puppy in which I would have named Zepher. Both my parents promised me this dog. (I know Zephyr is spelt wrong, I am not stupid.)

Now.. I was supposed to get it on Saturday.. I had to delay the lady giving it to me, because my father decided to change his mind on me.

He has no real reason for doing so, other than the ones he gave out (he was talking out of his butt). ''This family is so disfunctional, how can you bring a dog here?'' or ''You're going to be going off to college soon (TWO YEARS) and you will have another mouth to feed.

My defence on both, were very good. I told him that no matter what.. our family is always going to be disfunctionl. =)Haha. That's the truth, though. Sadly.

And when he said the college thing.. I told him I would already be paying for the dogs things, so I wouldn't have another mouth to feed. (I have to pay for everything or else I wont except it).

Can anyone give me some way to get my father to allow the dog into the house again? My reasoning hasn't worked so far. He is very stubborn and doesn't like things that wont benefit him.

You could let him know that having a pet will teach you more responsibility and also you would not feel so isolated at times.

There are times when you want comfort or someone esle may feel the need for comfort that your familyand friends, though you love them very much, would not be able to offer you.

You need something that you can freely love and that can love you freely despite everything.

Plus a puppy would bring more joy and laughter into the household...

Sher and Me, thanks for your help.. but my father doesn't like holidays except for Fathers Day. So Christmas season will do nothing but piss him off. And..My father already knows how responsible I am as well as dependent.. so that wont work either. I think that might be why he wont let me get it. Thanks anyway you guys!
