Does this get on your nerves, like it does mine?

I'd like your honest opinion.

I am Me, Tara-Kay. A kind, caring person who has a heart and soul deep inside.
I am a confident person, I don't care what other people think of me, But.....

It really gets on my nerves when people cannot accept who I am! I love poetry, which i think is obvious to you guys, I am a passionate person with alot of opinions, I am not afraid to speak the truth, and how I feel.

I hate people that try to change me, I'll always be me, and that is that.

Do you think that certain things should be changed about us, to fit others needs?
I don't, God made us the way we are. No-one but ourselves can change that!!!

^I'll tell you one thing, and it's God's honest truth. The Almighty has made us the way we are, but even WE ourselves cannot change that. You see, I've grown up believing no one ever changes, there isn't a single force in the world which can change us. Apart from God, that is. It's only people’s attitudes to a situation/person that can change; which is often interpreted wrong.

If you understand what I'm saying, then you'll probably agree. If not, read it again, and again...and again.

You are right though, I don't think anyone in the world is worth you changing the way you are (externally, i.e.: the way you engage with others, present yourself etc).

And so you should always speak the truth and feel free to have your own opinions. It only proves one thing and that’s you possessing self respect.

it gets on my nerves too! i know exactly what ur talking about! i hate when people can't take me for who i am, and they try to change me. it's like they want you be like them, think like them, and overall, do everything the way they would do it. anyways, i hate it... it makes me go grrrrrr... ;-P

I agree. That is one this that really annoys me. I also hate it when people change just to suit other people.
They are the main things that ping me off a lot

Anyone who tries to change you is stupid && obviously doesn't like you for you. they're just into manipulating you into there own personal fantasie person. you only have one life to live, why give it to someone else to control? :)
