Cloning

I'd like to get a discussion going on what you guys think. I'm writing a paper on it.
There are ethical and religious objections on human cloning, sometimes animal cloning, and generally both.

"There is degregation of the clones; Do they have any rights?
There is degregation on the sanctity of marriage.
Cloning demeans humanity in general. especially women (life-givers, after all) and children (gifts)
what happens to the not-so-perfect clones? They're killed.
cloning is an attempt to surpass God."

    but also,
    "Cloning could benefit us.
People rush to ban cloning out of fear alone, not factual information.
Some types of cloning is used already, for medical purposes.
There is so much we can learn. We are on the verge of something incredible."

Cloning is weird and I'm not sure how I see it. Frankly I don't really understand the purpose of forcing life in this world, I mean it seems to me the population can grow quite enough on its own. On the other hand, nothing significant has really been done (I'm sorry but sheep don't really matter to me) and nothing wrong has really come from it. It also may be that I don't know enough on the issue though.

I agree with the cloning of stem cells especially for medical research and cure but I don't agree with actually cloning human beings or animals. It's a funny subject though and I don't really know enough to comment on.

Cloing is the next big step in our evolution.

It will help take away the power of life and health from false Gods and give it back to the real creators, us, mere mortals.

Now, ethical considerations concerning elite societies and of course, the obvious commercial future of this new science, I don't want to hear anyone try and say that we shouldn't move forward with this because it's against God.

We'd still be thinking lightening was Gods wrath if people like you got their way....and to be honest, if I could ensure that any children I might have in the future were born disease and condition free, with the best physical start to life I could give them, damn staight I'm going to take it.

Gods plan does not exist, we give to God everything we don't understand or can't accept responsibility for.

I think cloning is a perfectly fine thing to do, as long as no one gets hurt in the process.

Cloning I think is wrongful. I mean how would you feel if you have something exactly like you living for years? And they say in the future it's getting worse. I personally would like to die and see what happens later from my grave then live through it.

But if it's medical cloning then I guess it's okay. Depends on what they're cloning.
