    Magic Moments.

    It's 2am I look around.
    Snow is settling on the ground.
    Elegantly floating without a sound.

    Refreshing chill is in the air.
    To the sky I stand and stare.
    A calming moment too precious to share.

    Falling softly with gentle grace.
    Snowflakes cold upon my face.
    Descending at their lazy pace.

    Roof tops and trees laced in white.
    Creating a soothing, warming light.
    On this peaceful, wonderous night.

    Remembering memories from the past.
    When winter snow, for weeks did last.
    Before the time disappeared so fast.

    Unspoiled snow continues to lay.
    I wish this moment forever could stay.
    As I feel my troubles wash away.

    Everything covered by a blanket of snow.
    Glistening in the street lamp glow.
    Mesmorised for a while, now it's time to go.

    I slowly walk home, feeling mighty grand.
    Blowing warm air on to each hand.
    Listening to the crunching where my footsteps land.

    Palindrome - Also Known as Mirrored Poetry. A palindrome, by definition, is a word, phrase, verse, sentence, or even poem that reads the same forward or backward. The carefully placed words form the same sentence, whether it is read forward or backward. For example, 'Mirrored images reflect images mirrored' which includes a word in the centre as a reversal point for the sentence or even the poem.

    I'm not sure if this qualifies. This is about a [fire] during the winter... =s I was iffy about putting it in here, so please tell me if it works.
    ``````````````````````````````````````````
    Fire During Winter
    Grasping in tales of forgotten woes,
    Memories stand, they tire.
    Rest absorbed in belligerent shows,
    Sleeping through embers of fire.
    Burning so brightly, thusly is Hell,
    Moving, jumping, flickering.
    Turning woes to calling, trailing songs,
    Flames seem to be mocking, bickering.
    Promenade within a song to your flames,
    Enjoy sweet taste of ashes.
    Rest absorbed in belligerent shows,
    Warming rooms with flickering lashes.
    Houses glow to warm a touching soul,
    Moving pictures, fires burn.
    Turning woes to calling, trailing songs,
    Dancing waves, flickering flames hereby yearn.
    `````````````````````````````````

    Drifting
    By: Twisted Heart

    As the sun reflects upon the snow
    I find my mind is drifting
    Like the blanket of white lace
    Upon the ground its shifting.

    The swirling of the flakes in white
    Tend to the mind of dancing
    Tiny fairies lending flight
    With crystals they're romancing.

    Slivered snow dust in the eyes
    Reflecting back to you
    A whimsy tune of given light
    From specks in angel hues.

    From windowpane, I watch in awe
    As Nature gathers round
    The tiny dancers as they draw
    White circles on the ground.

    Winterland

    A swirl of snow dances wild
    On the barren fields around,
    Softly fall about ice laden trees
    Weighing fragile branches down.
    Air so clean and clear
    To breathe is to be free,
    Of the warmer days of summer
    Smog taking the air in greed.

    The woodland creatures in their dens
    Now deep in sleep so sound,
    Safe from those who seek to destroy them
    Safe from hunter and hound.
    In this land of dormancy and winter
    There is a welcoming warmth within,
    Appreciating the fires inside
    Welcoming the hospitality of friends.

    AHH! Word block, I'm so sorry, I'll finish the poem real soon.

    Here it is, my poem. It's based on winter.

    What becomes of snow?

    Snow surrounds those,
    Through the depths of winter,
    Those who are desolated,
    And those who are forlorn.

    The notion of hope,
    Is usually forgotten,
    Buried too deep,
    Under the force,
    Of the undying snow.

    Undying,
    You say,
    May be untrue,
    For a question I ask,
    Is "What becomes of snow?"

    A simple answer,
    That hides the crude winter...

    Spring;
    Even when you feel consumed,
    Drained of hope,
    And concealed by pain,
    The snow will fade,
    Fade to Spring,
    Even if it feels,
    As if nothing can change.

    The seemingly infinite snow,
    Will surely melt,
    Winter will fall to Spring,
    And hope will once more,
    Be redefined.
