*sigh* tomorrow then, lmao, i am on my cell phone, again. My poem is too long to retype... With a cell phone keypad, that is... Lmao.

I'm gonna try and judge it this weekend...so if you have any poems then it's ok if you want to turn them in (if you've reserved) b/c I'm late. But I'll try and have it judged this weekend :)!

Go ahead and post you two (gem and feverlime)...I don't mind. But I'm really sorry it's taking so long! I'm trying to find a time when I can actually have the candlelight mood! And I'm just so busy. But just know that I'm keeping it in mind. Thanks for the patience!

The candles flicker, softly gently
Bathing your voice in a soft warm glow
You massage my shoulders so tenderly
Kneading out the tension like a pro

Lying here enveloped in your arms
A simple hug just means so much
A tender kiss on my collarbone
My body is yearning for your touch

Our fingers intertwine together
Clutching each others hands so tight
Our eyes meet with unspoken words
"Can you feel the strength of this love tonight?"

The candles flicker, softly, gently
Burning slowly down to a waxy heap
As inky darkness settles across the room
We curl together in a blissful sleep ©

Not my best poem, nor my favorite (or even close to it) But i thought it was kinda cute after i write it. Kinda Sad....

My Winter Friend:

she came to me with golden eyes
she came with golden rings
she came to me like summer
yet she melted me like spring

she came into this very room
she promised we'd be friends
she came to me with promises
i should've known she'd break

and soon i came upon the truth
she wasn't ever spring
that she was only winter
in its bitter hastening
it just gets worse
it won't get better
snow will just make the ground wetter
making mud a fool for love
who falls and smears the face of mine

Her Heart Onced Belonged to the Night

Once, there was a girl
A sweet caring girl
Who's heart
belonged to the night.
The moon was her lover
The sun
her mother
and the stars were her friends
you could call it
love's first sight.
She stopped coming at night
to hang out with her friends
So she could be in some ones bed
So he could caress
her hair and her head.
The moon got lonely
The sun was worried
and the stars wouldn't come out to play
And the boy took her away.
He kept her to himself,
not letting her out to play.
But instead
Make her stay inside at night and play
His little fantasy games
Her life became hopless
One big mess
And soon, her heart belonged
To the boy.
She tried to get it back
but he hit her again and again
So she left just like that
And she packed up a sack
Of the pieces of the heart that was left
But he came after her
not letting his games end
but soon,
she got bruised
just because
he was amused
at her stuggling
and he then
let his little games end.
So the moon shine bright
To shed some light
So he can find his lover.
While the sun gives off heat
so she won't meet
any cold air
And the stars frolic in the sky
wondering
about the girl
who belonged
to the night.
