Do star signs REALLY have power over who we love?

    Hello, all :].

I know, you're all probably thinking 'what on earth is she on about?!' Well, recently, I met this guy at my tuition centre; he is BEAUTIFUL (turquoise eyes, I mean, how perfect could you get?!) Anyway, I have a profound interest in Astrology, and I am very much like my described sign (Virgo, i.e.: perfectionist, protective & impatient etc). From what I have researched, it's said that the Virgo best matches with Capricorn, Taurus or Cancer.
Now, I've seen relationships deteriorate- and I’m not blaming a false match in the signs, though, is that a real possibility?
What I'd like to know is what you think. Do our signs really have power over who we choose to love? I feel shallow saying this, but I've never actually felt this way about ANYONE; and funnily enough, I feel very close to him- though we hardly ever talk!

Anyway, I'd like to hear from you all.

    Thank you.x

heyyyy i forgot your name again. no i don't think they do because we created months, we created what we call and erm..stereotype? people born during a certain amount of days in this month so basically it's manmade, which meansssss WE made it and there are so many teenage magazines saying so and so is grumpy and judgmental and another is argumentitive and shy which makes them a perfffffect match! I don't believe any of this you're made for each other because of which month your mum decided to drop her load stuff and to be perfectly honest i think it's a little crappy.

I was told that, technically, there were thirteen months when the astrology signs were created. So even if they actually had any effect on peoples lives, the order of them would be behind another month every year. It would get all screwy. Kind of confusing, eh?

^ I understand what you're saying but that's not what I'm implying. However, I haven't looked at it from the 'manmade' perspective- maybe that's why I'm so narrow-minded!

Thanks for your replies so far guys!

Oh and, Lucy. My names Esham :]

i dont think they do. i mean, its kind of funny looking at your horoscope and seeing a few similarities, but i know i look at mine sometimes and laugh, cuz it wasnt true AT ALL...it was actually complete opposite

Lucy, I don't know of your whereabouts, but if you're down here in England you'd know of place called 'East Ham', I'm sure. Just remember me by that :).

You know I always wondered about astrology and "in your stars" matters. I guess it's all in the way that you read your calendar... also magazines are very confusing, because they all say different things, and pretty vague things, that can apply to anyone, really.

    Sorry, just my humble opinion.
