Afraid of the Dark?

I sooo am! When I come home and all the lights are out, I freak out and have to turn any light on. I'm afraid someone is waiting to attack me from the shadows. I've gotten better throughout the years, but I'm still afraid.

Anyone else afraid of the dark?

Ugh I am.
I'm seventeen years old and I still cannot be alone in the dark.
Luckily I have a big window in my room so the moonlight helps me see enough that I feel safe.
Oh and I still sort of leap into my bed (a tiny bit) because when I was little I used to think there was something hiding under my bed that wanted to grab my ankles.

haha yeah I am really scared of the dark....when I come home and all the lights are off I start swinging my purse incase someone is gunna jump at me until I can find the nearest light switch!....I'm not sure why I feel so unsafe in my own home...must have seen to many movies

I love darkness, I am not at all afraid of it, for it shields me from... other things.

I am not afraid of the dark, but I am afraid of heights lol....

I'm afraid. But only when I'm alone. My heart beats reallly fast and I hyperventilate and run everywhere. I shake too. I hate it and still-at the age of 14-have two nightlights in my room.

But when I'm not alone it's fun in the dark. Just as loong as they aren't trying to scare me..

I used to be really scared of the dark. Well, not darkness itself, but what was "in" the darkness (which always turned out to be nothing, lol). Something that really helped me through those nights was a teddy bear (whoever invented the teddy bear was a pure genious) and praying. Now I'm not afraid anymore. Now I don't like it a lot of the time, but the fear is gone :)

I'm not exactly scared of it. I just don't like it, lol.
I have to have a light on though and i especially hate coming home to an empty dark house. The lights go on and so does the TV, i need noise as well so i don't feel like the only one there, lol.

sometimes, but I usually have someone sleeping next to me, and we talk and stuff so i dont care about the dark. but then when they're not there, I am kinda afraid of the dark. but I have a night light in my room. so i guess its cool.

Only after I watch a scary movie..then it's ON..I then gets the trembling. Omgosh, I be imagining something is standing right THERE staring at me in the dark..then I gets my praying on..then I'm okay ;) LOL.
