Racism UK

OK I've just got home and i could not go without telling some people about this.

You know, for me racism is something for other people, it has never really been around me much and apart from the fact i am not racist have never really thought about it that much.

This all sounds so pathetic now its like. . . 20 mins later, but i was actually surprised how much it digusted me. Now for the story. . . . . .

I was on the train coming hoime like you do, and there were what only could be described as little sh*ts on the same carriage as me, about 12 more or less. Well i was kinda asleep, but this phone ringing woke me up and like this asian looking guy answered, it was his mobile. Then the next thing i know it one of the little kids asks him, like out of the blue, whether he is going to blow us up, and then all the rest join in by screaming that he's got a bomb. . . everyone just ignors them. . .Well to cut a incredibly long story short, the guy goes out, into the next carriage, but then the kids are sent out by the guard into the one he has fled into, so then he comes back. . . It makes me soo sad that a group of 3 or 4 kids can have such an effect on a person. . . The guy after moving for the second time actually moved to the back seat (behind me) so that the kids could not see him form the door window. . . what bastards. . .

I dont know. . . am i being pathetic?
Was it really that bigger deal. . .
Please read this post and tell me what you think. . .This event actually nearly made me cry, I don't know why but that kinda thing has a strong effect on me. . .Its Disgusting

okay maybe this will sound insensitive and all, but i think reason the children are like that is because of what goes on around them. as far as they know it IS foreigners all the time trying to bomb us so what are they going to think? I'm not saying he deserves this, i'm not saying he should be treated like this, and the fact that they think ALL foreigners are bombers is mainly our fault because we don't teach them otherwise. but anyway i don't like racism and i don't support it and half the kids in the UK have turned up to be drug using unedcuated idiots who like to have sex because of our poor governmenting. there's not really much one person can do to stop racism and there's always going to BE racism whether we think it's a problem or not doesn't really come into the matter.

Mmm. . . well mainly i thought that it was interesting that a 12 year old would actually come out and say it to someone. . . Well it can't be really there fault as you said its what goes on around them. . I did really feel sorry for that guy though. . . my heart went out ot him. . .

Your last line is so ignorant that I almost didn't know how to answer you. But here I go. Yes, thinking racism is a problem does come into the matter. Do you think slavery in America would have stopped if people didn't think it was wrong to discriminate by skin color. No. Do you think after slavery was over that the outright segregation and the jim crow laws would have been abolished if people didn't think racism was a problem? No. Yes pinning racism down as a problem and teaching people racism is wrong helps. It is better to spread knowledge than allow ignorance to proliferate.

Secondly, education is important. I think the kids need to be taught . They are living with the wrong views. Foreigners are not the people trying to bomb the U.K. or America all thte time. The IRA has bombed different parts of the U.K. I can't count the amount of times, but it is more than any muslims. America had the unibomber, a man on our own soil, who sent way more bombs out than any terrorist. It is obvious that the reason these kids believe this is because we don't even know what to teach them. Also, is it wrong what they did, yes, but did anybody try to stop them.

It wasn't what i thought about what the kids did. . .But just how could you actually think or BELIEVE what they said. . .I mean would you ever, ever come out and say that to someones face, whatever your views. . .Really i wanted to comment on how sh*t todays society (isuppose thats what u would call it) is. . .

and i'm saying part of the comment on the society is that people didn't do anything to right the situation. You just sat there and did nothing. Somebody else flipped, which got th eguard involved, who merely sent them to somewhere else. Nobody actually took the time to explain the truth to these kids. So everybody was upset, but nobody wanted to teach the kids something in order to keep the situation from happening in the future. Everybody just didn't want that to happen aruond them. Funny how people care only that it is in their faces, bt once it is removed they don't seem to mind. If anybody really wanted to change that situation they would have tried to teach the kids something. That would have educated the children, helping them and hopfully preventing this in the future with the same kids, and also it would better society because now these kids have the truth with them, which they can share with their friends.

mmm. . . i should have done something maybe. . . but I'm way too wussy. . .its true. . .like i said in the beginning, i never really thought about racism until like tonight. . . when it was right there infront of me. . .

If I say how I feel about racsism, everyone is a critique. I really don't care. Why should anyone care about racism, it's around..I know I have it. But I'm not afraid to admit that because ya'll don't know how annoying the people in my town are. I could even hate the whites. I hate wiggers more than anything because you're white....you're not a ...yeah "african american" you're a WHITE CAUCAISAN PERSON! Act it. I hate to be racist but I can't controll it, if I met someone who's not white, not straight, and not whatever, I don't even want to look at them. I can honestly say I only like THREE blacks at my school. The majority of my school is black, I'm white, I hate my school. I'm a Christian, and I know in order to be a Christian you should not judge, but I'm fed up with every race. Including the whites. That's pretty sad. I'm acctually an asian muslim from England. So yeah if i am completely truthful i (Or my family, friends whoever) have experianced racism. Especially after 7/7.
It was becuase the spotlight was on us. Someone from our race did a terrible thing, somethign the majority of my race did not approve of. SOmething that many people died as a result of. It made me personally really angry at them, i think the majority of asian muslims in the UK are angry at them for putting such a spotlight on all of us.

And becuaseof this, and theres also the fact that many people dont know any muslim asians out there. Well they hear the news, 9/11, 7/7 what are they meant to think??

I quite honestly think racism is wrong. Its a thing that shouldnt occur, your oppinion on whatever person shouldnt be because of there colour.

^So, Southern, say if you went in to a shop and wanted to buy something. The shopkeeper was Asian and just at the sight of your skin colour, puts up a notice reading “NO WHITES”- what would you do? How would you feel?

When my father was 16 (1973), he had a black friend who worked at the same cab office. This guy was looking for a new home and my dad went along with him to check out a home in East London. However, to their disgust, when they arrived there, a large sign on the window read “NO BLACKS, NO PAKIS”. Imagine if you were in my father’s shoes, Southern, how would you have felt? What would you have done?

Well you know what, who ever said I should die or whatever. I'm sorry that I offended you, but you know I really think that maybe if the "african american" race wasn't so damn rude I woul dhave respect for them. They don't respect me..why should I give them that respect..they are pissed because they think that WE are the ones that owned them and beat them when that was our anscestors NOT US! THEY NEED TO GROW UP AND GET THE EFF OVER IT! I would so treat them better if they had any sense to act appropreiate and to act civilized but no they trash our schools, disrespect our elder, overpower our dignity and yet you think I SHOULD RESPECT THEM! I don't think so. Give me respect I'll give you the same. You people need to come over here and see how these people treat us white folks!

^ I agrere that african americans should well try and forget what there ancestors went throguht BUT think about it from there point of veiw.There ancestors were bought in ships that probably help 500 of them. they were all held with chains, and the water and food - well tehy didnt get loads of it. When they needed to... well use the toilets, the ywere expected to do it in the place where they lay. Many people died in the jorney and what happened to them? They were thrown over board. When they reached America what ahppened? Well there owners forced them ot change tehre religion for christianity. They were beaten up.

Yes that phase is a part of history now but seriously how would you feel if this happened to your great grandmother and great grandfather? SO yeah , i dont know how they treat you but they have there reaosns. Try looking past these reasons. Tell them your not like that, and you thought that slavery was wrong. Get to know them. Lynching and segregation, the jim crow laws and treating them as second class citizens didn't even begin to end until the 1960s, just forty years ago. That's enough for your parents to remember, if they are old enough.

Lastly, stop saying they do this. The attributes you have so lavishly thrown upon all African Americans shows that you have no knowledge of human nature. These attributes are not soley owned by african americans; they are characteristics of human beings all over the globe. You have them, I have them, everybody has them, and everybody shows them at one time or another. And nobody shows them all the time, not even charles manson shows his badside all the time. If you stopped looking for reasons to hate people you would stop finding them. You would actually open your eyes, stop listening to the crap that someone is spoon feeding you, and you would realize that "these" people are no different than yourself. And that "they" aren't everything you described.

Excuse me but were do you live? Ok over here we're surrounded by blacks who start shootouts. Yesterday at Mardi Gras a group of blacks ganged up on LITTLE WHITE GIRLS and had a gun up to there head BGECAUSE THEY WERE WHITE! They were drunk, high, and dangerous. They cause so many problems here. There was 3 SHOOTOUTS LAST NIGHT AND THEY WERE ALL BLACK! You tell me to not classify them. I know not all blacks are bad. I have but 4 black friends and they're the ones who make good grades, give repect, and aren't the ones demanding respect but give it and recieve it. I very much like them becaues that's how I am, I recieve respect I'll give respect, and I can tell you 90% of the blacks I meet have the most disrespectful attitudes. I understand they're grandfaters and mothers could have been slaves, but if it wasn't for the white president Aberham Lincoln, slavery would still be here. Whites helped fight for there rights. So do you think I like to be this way!? No but I can't help it that every black person I meet just sickens me. They trash our town! Look at New Orleans, no offence but I live here...I've been there when there were more blacks than whites the town was a crap hole, but now there's more whites after the storm and the town is clean and nice. That's a fact! You can't tell me any different because I lived here! I spent so much of my life in New Orleans before and after the storm..I would know.

I've never heard of a shoot out yet that has happend in my town that hasn't been a black. They've all been black. Sure maybe a few whites but I never heard of a white shoot out in my life. White people in the south are scared of blacks because they're known for using weaponds to defend themselves. Negro is not an insult that is black in spanish. They flip over that. In answer to uhhh.. Cory? k then! i don't disagree with you half the things i blurt out with on these forums is my OPINION which i don't have factual evidence to prove i just say it anyway.
BUT that's not what i meant, there IS ALWAYS going to be racism whether we stop it somewhere or not doesn't stop people being born trying to kill other people for their race/thinking other people aren't as good as them because of their skin colour/just hating in general because of what they look like not who they are.
