Help.

This is the first time I've posted a thread for 'help'. But, this time, I'm getting rather worried.
So, I'd beg for no insults.

    Now, the problem:
It's really weird. Lately, I have felt sick to my stomach...all the time. Espically [obviously] after I eat something. And if I cough really hard [Or laugh too hard] I either gag or throw up.

Everytime I consume food I get this unpleasent feeling in my stomach like, if I had an eating problem, the food would come right up.

So, to stop this, I've refrained from eating a lot. [Of course, I still eat], but you get the picture. It hasn't helped. I'm not sure what it is or what to do. I really do not wish to tell my doctor or parents for they will think I have an eating problem [more like assume] and my parents already have enough to deal with as it is. I'm not about to put more on them.

So, has anyone felt like this before? If so, what is it and what can I do?

I assume, myself, that it is merely stress eating away at my stomach making me nausea a lot. But, I'm not sure. =/ What do you think?

Thank you for reading this and for all your help.

And, I was [and still am] really skeptical [spelling?] about posting this. It's hard for me to admit I may have a problem. So, any help is appreciated..

"You mean, you aren't perfect like you led us to believe? :) Just kidding!"

    ^^^
Perfect? Who said I was persfect? Why did you make that statement..? =]

Actually: Is it after a certain type of food that you eat that you feel real sick?

    ^^^
Usually after eating potatoes [of any kind.] I eat them religiously, though. Maybe because I'm eating so much of one food? But really, lately, it's been after everything I eat.

I'm really skeptical about telling my parents, though, Brit. I do not have an eating disorder, yet this is worrying me. You're sure it's not just stress? =s

Thank you for your reply, by the way...

    Oh. Lmao. Sorry.

Yeah, potatoes. I figure it's because I consume them almost daily. [It's my favorite food..=s]

I'll try a food diary. Mark what makes me feel what.

I'm pretty sure it's stress. I was just worried that is WAS something like an ulcer.

I am feeling like you do when you have the flu and you know you are going to throw up sooner or later, just not yet. However, I don't always throw up, I just have the feeling. Yet, if I were to cough or laugh too hard I'd gag, sometimes bringing things up. Sometimes I gag just randomly. It's not really pain, just that annoying lingering like you have until you throw up when sick. . . And, I'm feeling it right now . . . if I tried to throw up, I'm betting I could. But, obviously I don't want to. It's a feeling like I'm filled up? Maybe? I don't really know, but I'm getting rather worried...

[[Nods]] I completely understand that it could be anything. I'm prepared.

I get the feeling mostly when I get done eating and/or while eating. Sometimes when I wake up.

To be quite honest, I can't burp. Well, of course, anyone can, but it's one of those pathetic burps, you know? But, thank you for the advice. =] And, I drink tons of Coke. Maybe I should cut potatoes and Coke out of my diet and see what happens...? =/

Know you are never alone in anything. Somewhere out there there is someone suffering just the same. It's always a bit of inspriation to me, anyways. =]
What I'll do is eliminate potatoes from my diet and see if that helps. Then Coke. If those two don't work [for that's basically all I eat/drink] then I'll consider going to a doctor...

Thank you so much for your help. I was quite scared posting this, thinking I'd get bashed for having an eating disorder when I do not. But, you came along and showed me kindness most do not possess on this site. Thank you so much for you kindness. I'll keep in touch if I have anymore questions [and if that's ok that I do.]
Otherwise, take care, and again, thank you so much. =]

    Oh, dear god, no!
I don't sleep around like the....well, I got in trouble for saying my mind the last time. But, you get the point.
Let's say, I respect my body more than that. I actually may have a real -problem- unlike those hoochies..

[I hope you come back to this forum..]
    Bri--
I regret to come back to you with bad information. I know it's been only a day since we spoke, but today I refrained from eating a potatoe and from having too much Coke.
Yet, when I consumed food, I still got that sicken feeling in my stomach and I feel horrible right now. My stomach aches and I have a headache... I'm thinking that my assumption that consuming too much potatoes is false; it could be merely the fact that since I eat them all the time, I assumed it was making me sick, whereas, anything was/is.
So, what do you pressume? I'm rather worried. Yet, I'm probably over-reacting. I, however, still do not want to tell my parents.. Perhaps it is just stress?
I'll check back later tonight for an answer. I'm desperate for advice; I'm rather frightened. It seems my stomach is only at ease if I've nothing in my stomach... =/

Thanks, again, for your much needed and appreciated help.

    Love,

yeh that happened to me. i thought it was because i wasn't eating much for a while and than when i started to eat normally again it would make me feel sick. but than it kept on happening even when i did eat properly.
alot of the time when i would look at something that made me feel sick or cough (like u said) or laugh i would feel like i would bring my food up.
it happened today while i was trying to eat a bread roll and i felt like i just didn't really want to eat much anymore coz it made me feel sick
i think tho that u just have to keep on eating regularly (3 meals a day) coz as soon as you stop eating when u start up again it will make you feel sicker
and make sure you eat food from all the food groups so u get a variety of food. not just patatoe lol
i don't know why it happens to me. maybe i just have a weak stomache
but if it keeps on happening and u see that u are loosing alot of weight or you are feeling dizzy (that is what happens to me when i don't eat) than i suggest going to the doctor. u can go without telling your parents. u need to know if it's sumtink more serious
