Getting Credit for a song question

for my bands first song, our guitarist wrote the guitar parts and i wrote the bass line. hes telling me i shouldnt get credit because without his guitar riff i wouldnt have a bass line.

its just that i wrote a song all by myself including the drums and i wouldnt want anyone else to get credit for it. just for the song i named above i think i should be getting some credit because without my bassline the song would sound boring and bland
