Looking For an Explanation

Okay, lately i have recieved many comments saying that my poetry is musical... and the commenters keep on asking if i have created music for it, sang it before... etc... I write it with no thinking, just knowing in my head that the flow is the key and my head just does all the syllabic work and rhythmic work for me. I am just wondering how a poem meant for reading is read lyrically... like, what makes a poem a song? I don't know if i'm making sense.
Maybe i'm just asking why people think that my poetry is music lol!

(not that i mind it and all, it's just that when i read it, i just see... poetry.)
