NEED IDEAS

OK I've got a budget of £40 to make a fundraising event. . . thats gotta make more than £40 otherwise it costs me (obviously). . . I need dieas. . we've been told it can be anything from a cake stall to a party. . . I've just come up with two ideas.
1. That we could borrow the college studio to do portrature (sp?) or something with cameras.
2. Not really an idea but i found a place that sells GUNGE. . . which could be fun as long as its not pissing down with rain. . .

It's kinda boring...but the cake idea wouldn't be too bad. I don't know if that amount of money would get you enough ingredients. Calculate how many cakes you can make with the amount of ingreidents you can buy. Guess how much you can sell based on slightly slower than average market-price. See if there's a profit. Try to find a place where you can sell the cake...place where there are bakeries near by...food courts etc. See if there's a demand for dessert in that area. First you gotta check out the cost for supply though (ingredients...napkins..forks...plates...signs? the actual stall...) Good luck...sorry if I'm just as useful as the previous post haha...-_-

ok I don't really know how much £40 is but when we raise money we always do it with like a fair or something. Sometimes you can get them to come out with rides and things and it's not that expensive. Our band used to do it and then we would play for everyone and get tips on top of the money coming in the door :) We've bought things and then sold raffle tickets and made money that way. A dance maybe. I don't know what kind of stuff they like to do but there are lots of ideas.

Thankyou loads. . . I dont know. . . what do you think of the photo idea because we got the equipment and "skills" for free so the only costs are printing and stuff. . . Lets just hope people arn't camera shy lol. . .

I don't know...you'd have to catch them in a "hey...you know what...i'm in the mood to get a picture taken" mood. Haha...I don't know if they'd be as comfortable with actually photographers as just sitting in booth with their privacy. It would be great if the service is portable. You can target the couples then...haha-haha

Yeah. If you could take the camera's outside and take live action shots and things instead of 'posed pictures' People usually want more of those because anyone can go to a studio and get their picture made. But how much will it cost you to print them out and things? will you have enough?

Well thats the thing. . . mmm I got stuff, we could make it portable. . . the thing is that the printers cant be taken so you can't give people instant results. . .Could borrow a flash gun ans stuff though. . . mmm *thinks*

Well you could tell them they could pick it up the next day or something. Or give them a time that afternoon to pick it up.

That would reduce the number of customers though...I say CAKE! if you can't sell em...eat them or give them away haha that's still charity...-_-...haha...It's fun to make and the transactions are easier.

so maybe do it within walking distance of the studio or something (?)

not everyone likes cake but not everyone likes to get their picture made either.
