To laugh or not to laugh

How do you get people to smile more? i know i know, make a joke do sumtin stupid, but seriously, my friends and especially boyfriend hardly ever smile... it drives me crazy lol they are so down and just "bla" its like, lighten up ppl!

When I'm on the train, and someone is constantly looking at me but then turning away, I just stare right at them, as though: "what the f do you want?!" - then smile at them...and keep smiling until they're highly uncomfortable and decide to escort themselves off of the carriage. It's SO MUCH FUN. :D Heh.
