Hollywood Sterotypes

I am sure that everyone has heard about the eating disorders in Hollywood and that you have to be skinny and pretty and if you aren't then you can't make it, but the truth is there is a role for EVERYONE out there. Big, small, ugly, pretty, glasses, no glasses, tall short, and any race. We only believe that we have to be skinny because society has forced it upon everyone in the tabloids and press. There are so many characters to be played in movies, plays, one-acts and more. We need to stop thinking that you have to be skinny. It's just not right. Does anyone else agree?

Hahahaaha, MEREDITHrenegade - I love your Avatar.

Hollywood hasn't a care in the world of how its expectations are affecting people. However, I think Britney Spears has done justice to the world of weirdoes by shaving her head. Meh. She's so stupid.

I like the way it's now our fault for stereotyping and expecting too much, rather than the celebrities themselves either not admitting to the problem, or attention seeking. I mean honestly. Who is forcing people like Victoria Beckham to under eat? Most of all, who expects and encourages it? NOBODY. Nobody WANTS our celebrities to DIE. In fact, we release magazines with 'plz dunt dyee vickayy!' all the time. It's not the media, even though they do irritate, and sometimes 'ruin celebrities lives', they don't suggest nor encourage celebrities to become these boneless ghosts, they do it themselves. Their fans don't want them to under eat, half the audience doesn't care, so really wouldn't go through the effort to make sure they knew they wanted them anorexic, but you're right, there are a lot of ugly overweight people who fit in the ugly overweight roles, so the anorexic celebrities need to gain some weight. Not sure if anything I said was appropriate because I half read this with my eyes shut.

It is our fault that we look at these poor anorexic celebrities as role models of the ideal beauty. We do buy the magazines, see what regiments they have, see what they do to look so "beautiful"...Please!

It is our fault that we expect them to be perfect souls, when in actuality they are nothing more than average joes trying to make a living...

But don't tell Micheal Jackson that...He thinks he is Peter Pan.

Michael Jackson is a perfect example plastic surgery is just useless. Nicole Kidman as well, she butchered her nose. I don't ASPIRE or WANT to be any of them, it's like looking at a sack of bones with inward cheeks. And the fact some of them think they look so fantastic without any make up, they're all so arrogant it doesn't matter anyway. We should just let them kill themselves thinking this is what the world wants and see where it gets them. It's just so hopeless.
