So I decided to use her titles...

After the lies

Yet, I still do

But now I am numb
To things that you do.
My heart's been broken

She sits alone among her things
Fancy cars and diamond rings
All the flair that money brings
Will keep her company.
Credit cards, she has her share
Pretty gems wove through her hair
Financial worries, she has no care
She lives a life that's free.

Her home is full of all the best
On satin sheets her head will rest
She even has a family crest
How lucky can one be
She snaps her fingers on a whim
Two maids will soon shuffle in
To do whatever's asked of them
That is their job, you see.

By day she has a whole surrey
Who fawn and on her words they prey
Who touch her arms in such a way
Affection they must feel
But night time finds her all alone
Inside a house that's not a home
The coldness cuts her to the bone
Inside her soul it steals.

Tears fall among her pretty things
In saddened heart she feels the sting
No hope to end her suffering
So in a ball she curls
Rocking herself to and fro
Sobs wrenching from her broken soul
Does anybody really know
She's just a lonely girl.

Dear Diary
I saw him again today,
I haven't seen him for a while.
He turned around and looked at me,
And he gave me a smile.
My heart skipped a beat,
And a shiver down my spine.
Butterflies in my stomach,
I wish that he was mine.

Oh my god, I'm so excited,
Diary, i can hardly write!
That brown eyed boy i like so much,
Has finally seen the light!
He asked me for my number,
And he said that he would call.
He said he wants to take me out,
For a milkshake at the mall.

Dear Diary
I'm now officially his girlfriend,
It seems to good to be true.
I couldn't wipe the smile from my face,
Even if i wanted to!
We spend our days together,
And at nights look at the stars.
I wish that everybody in the world,
Had a love like ours.

Dear Diary
Guess what? I'm getting married!
Diary, i have to tell you this!
Something metallic popped in my mouth,
When he gave me a kiss.
It was the most beautiful ring,
It was the perfect day.
I'd better go plan my wedding now,
Cause it's next month in May!

Dear Diary
I can hardly see through my tears,
Diary it hurts so very bad.
My fiance, the love of my life,
has died. I heard it from his dad.
Three years of bliss and love has perished,
Because of one drunken man.
The wedding has now become a funeral,
So much for all our plans.

Dear Diary
I can't take it anymore diary,
I can't live without his love.
It's so unfair, angels took him away,
I'm going to join him up above.
I've taken an overdose of pills,
I feel faint, yet i don't cry.
I'll be with him soon forever more,
And we'll never say goodbye.....

18 Wheeler-

Miles behind us,
A thousand patterns of pastures,
Hundred acres of land,
Slowly seep on by.

A million strings of power lines,
50 state lines,
A few cuss words,
And tired eyes.

Driving something pretty powerful,
Yet such a beautiful thing,
Hear voices talk on the CB radio,
The only thing that keeps you company.

You hear the tragic stories,
Of how people die around you,
But you just gotta keep on going,
You got to get to your destination.

Theres many nights,
Of where you lay in your trucks bed,
Wondering what your family's doing,
When your gone.

You hear knocking on your windows,
Shaking your head in disgust,
Thinking why these beautiful girls,
Waste their lives as hookers.

And sometimes you wish parking a trailer,
Would be just as easy as parking a car,
Some people just don't know how to park,
And that just what ticks you off.

You hear loud bang,
And see your tire being shredded,
Thinkin' what else could be wrong,
As you park on the side of the road.

Driving time is the limit of 11,
But you sometimes drive more then 15 hours straight,
And when you lay down at night,
You barely can sleep for a few hours.

And your right back on the road,
Each mile passing by,
Is one mile closer,
To where you can finally sleep at ease.

These are the many things of driving a 18 wheeler,
I think I should know,
I've been there and done that,
But I still love the job.

I ACTUALLY DROVE IN ONE AND I NOW WANT TO BE A SEMI DRIVER!

Goin` To California

I`m goin` to California to live among the biggest names,
Wear big sunglasses and bring myself to sweet fame;
Everybody says that the Hollywood lights fade out in time,
But I`ll make damn sure that my face stays high in sublime.
Up there in LA with their fancy cars and diamond rings,
I`ll dangle the paparrazi from my "ignore them" string;
With a drug dealer on speed dial and a million and one fans,
I`ll stand proud and tall, be a major part of media`s future plans.
My breath will smell like liquor, wearing barely nothing at all -
I`ll fake a pretty smile so no one knows when I`m ready to fall;
I`m going to California to live among the biggest names,
Wear big sunglasses and bring myself to sweet fame.

Everybody says that the Hollywood lights fade out in time,
But I`ll make damn sure that my face stays high in sublime;
With bleach blonde hair and innocent baby blue eyes,
I`ll be the next pathetic dream of all the teenage guys.
A poster girl for the next generation, don`t that sound like a dream;
With a handful of photographers, my bodyguard and I will be a team,
Beating off the pack of testosterone with an iron clad fist,
And putting every other dream girl at the bottom of my D list -
I`m gonna join the mile-high club and demand first class seats,
Make a fit if there`s not a new show on, to hell with the repeats;
I`m goin` to California to live among the biggest names,
Wear big sunglasses and bring myself to sweet fame.

Up there in LA with their fancy cars and diamond rings,
I`ll dangle the paparazzi from my "ignore them" string,
Don`t give a care to what they say about me in the end,
Because the drugs and alcohol can make a perfect blend -
Mix `em up and forget about the rest of the world out there,
That`s suffering while I get extensions put into my hair.
I`ll throw a big scene in Starbucks when my latte isn`t soy,
And storm off with what they call "this weeks sorry boy",
Throwing my life up into flames just for a bit of attention;
The good graces I threw away for this are too far gone to mention -
I`m goin` to California to live among the biggest names,

Lonely Girl

"You look a little bit lonely," He smiled as he turned,
And I knew that when the sun came up he would see;
The broken bridge that I set up in flames and burned,
As I stumbled toward him through the scattered debris.
"Don`t we all at some time, look just a little lonely?"
I asked in return as I looked into his turquoise eyes;
Taking my hand, he sighed heavily and looked to me:
"But nobody is as lonely as that girl painted in your eyes."
My heart started beating, as I felt myself fall so softly;
And I layed with him all night on the edge of town;
Under the stars, he told me stories of a girl so pretty;
That he wished would turn her silly frown upside down.

"If we all looked like we felt, then what would you be?"
He asked as his heart beat whispered in my ear;
"I`d be a heart, with your hand closed down over me - "
I replied as my face flushed bright pink with fear.
And in his eyes, a picture was painted of the world;
Lonely, with bright blue eyes and a shaking hand;
As he thought up the right words, the picture swirled:
Into the edge of the ocean, where we began to stand.
Smiling, he said: "Hey lonely girl, promise to be mine?"
And tears fell from my eyes as I looked to the water,
"I promise this, take my hand and everything will be fine,"
He said, as we fell off the edge of the world together.

Holding our breath, we chose the path that looked right;
And he held me up against the skyline as we fell,
The smile set in my eyes, contrasting against the fright;
And he laughed: "I have to say, you wear loneliness well - "
With little resistance, we walked together into the dark;
Hand in hand - and his heart beat solemnly against mine,
As I looked up to the watching stars and lit a spark.
And I knew as we stood together and watched our hearts align;
That days like that should last forever in our heads:
To be played over on the nights that seem to never end,
And he took me in his arms as he smiled and said:
"Hey lonely girl, I think we`re in love; so let`s not pretend."

Incase the point was missed, the bridge mentioned in the first stanza would be the bridge into her heart...this is about a girl that is afraid of commitment but with the guy she is with, she overcomes it.
