    Undoing Rain

The rain beat her tattered face
And she traced the holes in her pant legs
Her tears were covered in broken lies
Along with the promises of a thousand others.

She counts the stars with in his eyes
As they blaze with a fire from hell
Knowing tomorrow may never be there
She listens to the words he yells.

Another night there she sits in the alley
As her black and blue face turns ice cold
He drinks his bottle of good ol' Crown Royal
And watches the television as it shows old re-runs.

The thunder rolls, and the lightning flashes
As she thinks of the broken smiles she has held
Knowing that undoing her past of pain
Is like undoing the rain itself.

i'm sorry this took me so long. totally forgot about it... its not my best. maybe i will fix it up some time. .. lol

    Guilty Until Proven Innocent

    her hands are stained
not with the blood of others
    only her blood is pained
    tainting her fingers

    dripping and cold
she shivers in the loneliness of moonlight
waiting for life to grow old
    waiting to fall

    standing on the edge
    trying to hold herself upright
trying not to slip on the ledge
    it's not time yet

    guilty of living her life
    of yearning for purity
    innocence, a knife
    guilty of wishing for light

    don't touch her
    only she can help herself
    she'll shatter
no one can put her back together

    guilty of lying
    she tells herself she's unbreakable
try to smile when she's crying
ignore her pain, it's all you can do

    she turns her head
trying to stop the brightness in eyes
    guilty of loving the dead
prove that she is worth dying for

    innocence is white
red is the color of her blood
her heart gleaming silver, she will fight
    she is innocence itself

    ripples surrounding her cries
    circling around and around
    till she dies
    everything in life is tied

    she sleeps on the ground
snow falling to rest on her hair
guilty of wanting to be found
is it wrong to want to be loved?

tell her it's allright to cry
    guilty until proven innocent
she does have a right to fly
    show her how

    Picture Box People
    By: Twisted Heart

Scatters from the winds of change
    Among debris life rearranged
    Plastic people without souls
    Transparent vessels aged and cold

    Faded paper memories
    Shattered glass of vacancy
Against the harshness of the frame
Tepid souls that time has claimed.

Smiles splash happy on the page
As distant dreams begin to rage
Inside the soul behind the eyes
Are shattered thoughts and battle cries

Now tossed upon the dusty dreams
    Lost faces of transparency
    Forever gone inside the depths
Of time that captured single breaths.

    No life inside the photographs
    Faded faces in broken glass
Boxed inside, their souls to see
    Among the faded memories.

Xx Diamond in the Sand xX

Finding love in this lonely world
Was like finding a needle in a haystack
Discovering a diamond in the sand
    Nailing jelly to a tree
    Impossible...
    Or so it seemed...

Something that just wasn't worth the effort
    The countless disappointments
    The tears...
    The hurt...
    Weighing down the fragile heart
When something that felt like love
Turned out to be a sham
    A red herring

Love was something that was only found in the movies
    In books
    In the imagination...
    A sort of pipe dream

But even pipe dreams can become a reality
Love can find you when you least expect it
    When you cease looking
    It springs out of nowhere
    Like a long lost friend
    A best friend
    A lover

You find that needle in the haystack
And when you do, you realise it's something special
    The real thing
    Something worth waiting for

I found my diamond in the sand
And it's the most valuble diamond i could ever hope to own
    It's you

    Digitally Enhanced Heart

    Robots cannot love,
    Human hearts are worthless,
    Neither is enough,
And the whole world is left clueless.

He found her in the trash,
    Broken deep within,
She could not speak or laugh,
    Her breathing was so thin.

    He decided to repair her,
    For he was an engineer.
    Her body bruised and hurt,
That it almost brought him tears.

    She finally opened her eyes,
    Looking at the ceiling.
As her chest began to rise,
She felt her scars were healing.

He let out a little smile,
    They introduced themselves,
    The sun outside shone bright,
And she thanked him for his help.

    Robots cannot love,
    Human hearts are worthless,
    Neither is enough,
And the whole world is left clueless.

One day the man was sad,
As he slowly said, "I'm home..."
    The fixed robot was glad,
    Although she was a drone.

    "Work today was horrible;
    The deadline was moved up.
    The pressure was unbearable,
and I think I've had enough!"

    The robot woman smiled,
And they sat down to eat.
    The man said, "This taste's nice;
It's like you made a feast."

"Well, I made it just for you,
    Because you've been so kind.
After all that I've been through,
You brought me back to life."

    The robot was so happy,
    To have someone that cared.
    Since artificial eyes look glassy,
All she could do was stare.

He looked at her sweet face,
    And her automatic smile.
This all seemed out of place,
For she was supposed to die.

    Robots cannot love,
    Human hearts are worthless,
    Neither is enough,
And the whole world is left clueless.

    Many years had passed,
And the two still lived together.
    The man was growing older,
But the robot stayed the same forever.

One day, the man did tell her,
"I love you, oh so much,
I can't bear to see you hurt,
And I think I am in love."

    The robot was so quiet,
And she told him, "Oh my sweet,
Sweet friend, I cannot hide it,
You make my words grow weak.

But I care for you a lot,
    Although my heart is metal,
    And I am a robot,
I'm glad you are so genial."

    The two simply smiled,
    A robot and a man.
Things are same left and right,
But it's nice to take a chance.

    Perhaps robots can love,
And not risking might be worthless,
    Both might be enough,
    Though many are still clueless.
