1. No cutting/suicidal poems. I hate those because nobody knows what they are talking about so therefore cannot possibly write a good one.

3. No erotica. I'm not allowed viewing that anyway.

4.Yes, your poems do have to be in by the deadline so dont PM me asking for more time because the answer will be NO. :)

Tears Behind My Smile

I try to smile through the tears
put on a fake face for the world
my pain is not for others to see

inside I hurt
wanting to cry out
I wish someone would see me

invisible I stand
wanting only to help
ignoring my pain and focusing on others

my efforts are failed attempts
my pain seeps through
looks come from all directions

I recede into the corner
that is my home
no need to be fake when no ones watching

when I do step out
I smile through the tears
for my pain is not the problem of others.

Jagged lightening strikes the white puffy cloud,
Acid rain comes seeping down.
Tears flood the place of which once was
Empty of anger and clean of flaws.

Angels have all scattered, leaving their wings,
Instead people wake when the Devil sings.
That's not right, why isn't God in our sight?
Surely, once again, he'd make everything right.

What's going on? The image is wrong,
No longer do we hear that heavenly song.
Heaven is broken, why? No one can tell.
Instead it's been replaced with a darkness called Hell.
