Pagan/wiccans #2

I've noticed a lot of you have said that you "pick and choose" things...
I myself am not wiccan, I have researched it a bit and was interested in learning more about it, so I know a few things about it. My brother claims to be Wiccan, although he doesn't really live it. My ex-girlfriend is wiccan and me and her found a site, if any of you are interested, it's called www.silverravenwolf.com It's a wonderful site and if you go to the chat room or just read people's blogs you will find a lot of informative opinions and stories.
But on with what I was saying...I don't necessarily think you "pick" a god/goddess, or what certain path you want to take. I beleive it picks you. From my experience, it can't be "oh she looks cool, or I like what she stands for" it is more of a spiritual driven fate...there are ways that they will enter your life and let you know that they are your god/goddess, and once you have come upon them you learn all you can about them. This goes the same for your path I suppose, it will just stumble upon you and you research what you can of this path and find if it's truly right for you.
As for me...I truly tried to find a path that I enjoyed. I just don't beleive in a lot of what Wicca practices, and if I don't beleive it won't happen. I am still interested in it though, and I love sitting in on conversations about Wicca and Paganism and listening, maybe even contributing. I'm very earthly in my beleifs, I think that's why I'm most interested in this certain religion.

Maybe you could start your own earth based religion or another branch of Wicca. LOL Well, Starbucks will be the next meeting place for the Study Group! I've never been there before so I'm very exited! Can't wait till the 4th and hopfully, there will be more people there! LOL last week we only had 3 people show, counting me! LOL
