Do they have any right???

My doctor told me she wants an adult in my room with me at all times for oppts. and all that..... my doctor told my grandma it is legal for her to do anything to me without an adult in the room.... the only thing they are doing to me is for the health of my baby.... and it is pissing me off.... i started to giggle when i was listening to the baby's heart because the stuff she put on my stomach was cold and it tickled.... and i'm very ticklish so i can't help it... and she said i'm not taking my pregnancy the right way and she wants an adult in my room.... i told my grandma and my mother that i will not go back to that doctor because she has no right to tell me that i have to have someone in my room with me when they are checking me and stuff.... Do they have a right to say i have to have an adult in there with me or can i keep going by myself and just getting a ride....

They have the right to say that you should have an adult with you, unless in dire circumstances.

You're 15...Which means you're underage...Understand!

It probably would be better to have an adult in there with you anyway - Im 26 and even I would want to have my husband or my mother in there for support its just nice to know you've got someone there. Dont think of it as a "school rule" or anything - its for your best interests obviously and to be honest, as I work in the legal field... I'd rather have someone in there as a witness too. You wouldn't have much credibility against a doctor if something went wrong down the track (not that Im trying to be negative - but its always good to be prepared). :)

I always have my boyfriend with me.... and i don't want my mother or my grandma in there with me because THEY don't need to be in there.... and i don't want them in there for just an oppt... its stupid i remember things that normal children would have forget... i still remember what my final grade was in 2 grade.... and i'm 15 and PREGNANT UNDERSTAND....

Well then just go in there with your boyfriend then. She cant force you to have an adult.

I have made my own decisions on my own... i don't like having people with me i have been on my own for a long time... i have went to alot of normal doctor oppts. without even needing my mom there at all... and now i need one... i giggled because the stuff they put on my stomach is really cold and i'm really ticklish i giggled the last time... and she didn't say the first time i went there that i needed an adult i have been at that doctor for 3 and half months now and she hasn't said anything till now... and they drew blood from my arm and now my arm is all bruised up which means they did it wrong

15 and pregnant ,isn't this world just filled with nice young people......

It wasn't planned... alot of pregnancy in teens are planned...

If it was planned than I wouldn't have any understanding for it at all

well, I wonder how many rights should be given to a pregnant underaged person, if any at all.

My big deal is she has not brought this up at all to me about needing an adult or anything.... but now that i'm pregnant i'm wanting to suprise my mom when i find out the sex of the baby... i don't want her sitting there with me... it is very weird for me and my mom to be in the same room for more than a couple mins... yea i'll talk to her but we usually only talk over the phone or if i need her when she is home.. my dad isn't there and my grandma is just a big WOOP to bring... she goes off on every little thing... she doesn't have great memory or anything she has to write down when i'm going next and all that and i'll remember it month to month and even the time... and the thing that ticked me off is she just left and made the nurse come in to take blood... she did it fast because she was in a hurry and was off in like 10 mins and still had to shut her computer down... so now my arm is bruised because she did it wrong...

I mean i think there has to be a parent in the room cuz there was a girl who got raped by her doctor and thats why there is a law now i thkn they are just trying to protect you and your baby

If you dont think you need anyone else there with you... i don't get why they have to be there...
