Why not try this snippet of one of my poems titled 'If This Was To Be The Last Time'

I hope we share the future, many more years yet to live,
I hope we keep each other and all the love we can give.
I hope we never forget the time we’ve spent together,
I hope we stay near to each, not parting ever.
But should this never happen and today is all we get,
I’d want you to remember I have more love to give you yet.
Tomorrow I can not promise that we can still be here,
And today maybe the last chance I have to hold you dear.
