Spoooooky Halloween contest (everyone enter)

Haha. I looked at this a few days ago and the last one wasn't up there. And, I've been trying to figure out which one to do, but I'm glad you put it up.

"Monsters"

The creepy and the crawly things that howl in the night, they hunt you down and freak you out and scare you to a fright. Dripping fangs and bright red horns or maybe bat-like wings, your palms begin to sweat as you imagine all these things. You sleep with one eye open and seek shelter with the light, But in your dreams the scary things take over you tonight. So check your bed and closet too before you say your prayers, for monsters are roaming everywhere and they're feeding on your fears.

This one's for monsters. Sounds kinda cheesy/routine for a dragon xP lol (kudos to half-dragons and winged anthros/people! xD). Since it is halloween and all, I'm putting the dragon in a mean perspective >.<. Hope ya guys enjoy!

Dragon

A mighty champion of the skies
Its scales shining like a thousand rubies
It wields the claws of a mad beast
Its vicious jaws covered in blood
'Tis the bringer of flames and death
An awesome power feared by all
It answers to no one

Up the night of a full moon
The dragon swoops into the night
Searching for blood and flesh
A feast worthy of kings
Screams enter the air upon its fearsome sight
Fires arise
Blades are drawn
A rain of arrows cover the sky
But they are no match for the dragon's might

It's majestic beauty is revealed in the flames
All turns to silence as it prepares its first attack
An epic terror takes hold of all
The hearts of Men are turned to ash
In one fell swoop, many are slain
Blood and flesh rips up into the air
Dying cries are quickly put to rest
The great beast shoots back up into the sky
It's countless scales sparkle with crimson light

'Twas merely its appetizer
The dragon quickly returns
Many have turned and feld, but there is no escape
The remaining search for their resolve
An angel whispers a quiet prayer
As the beast once again begins to charge
The land is brought into a one-sided battle of death
The winged beast gains but a few scars
The lives of dozens are lost forever

When the creature has finished its feast
Countless cries of agony fill the sky
As raging flames rip across the plains
The satiated dragon rapidly climbs back up into the heavens
Leaving behind a charred and desolate land
The remaining survivors know that this is merely the beginning of the end
Of all they held dear

Some Kind of Monster

As the merciful melodies of 12 clock ticks,
The night screamed, silently...

No footstep,
No shadow,
Not even a sound.

Glaring though all the windows,
As I stalk across the forsaken street.

Rhythm of the darkness tempos me,
As I dance to the deadly night.

The moon smiles upon me,
As I laugh back at the world, evilly.

Children may cry,
Parents may pray,
As they hear my name.

For over a dozen century I lived,
No one has ever seen my face,
Nor lived long enough to tell my existence.

For eternity,
The night, I hunt.
For eternity,
The curse, I carry.

(I donno this one works for both halloween theme and monster)

This was my first contest as well. I dont know how happy I am with what I wrote. I kinda winged it. I might sign up for another catagory and do another one in a diffrent style of writing.

Sign me up for witchcraft since no one has touched that yet. I will post it later today

"WitchCraft" *Dedicated to Tara*
Bathed in the dusk of evening and dressed in black they come, woman of great power and faith. They enter the forest as night masks the sky with its ebony hue. The entire world is silent as they approach a clearing. The wind ceases and the stars appear as they make their way to a clearing. The moon shines her blessing down on them as they make a fire, the light from the flames dancing across their faces. They encircle the fire and join hands and in that moment the world stops moving.
All is silent. Raising their heads they sing out in one voice. To whom they call no one knows but them. They close their eyes and lower their heads and the world starts once again. The wind slowly moves thru the trees as they sway back and forth in a rhythmic dance. Energy seems to pulse around them as they slowly put out the fire. Quietly and swiftly they leave the way they came. No trace is left of their gathering, only the sound of their voices echoing thru the trees like a whisper on the wind.

Our bad bob, we're just passionate about our poetry. she just wanted to make sure everyone was envolved thats all.

Pumpkin Juice {Terra's Halloween Licentia Rhyme}

Through the garden the weeds are taking over;
The edges are covered within sweet clover.
a deep green plant is growing on the sidelines,
and along the dirt you can see the great vines.
Entangled within you see a small orange ball--
The frost seemed to have done nothing after all!
The giant oak tree sits beside the garden
her roots are seeping in, they are not hidden.
Leaves of orange crimson over lays the plant
Anything it wants the oak would surely grant.
And within their thoughts there is a forever--
and within their thoughts there is a forever.

Then the oak trees protection begins to fall--
Then the oak trees protection begins to fall
Beginning to loose sight of the incoming frost
She swore to protect it at all of her costs;
Some voices are heard far down in the distance.
Her undying will seemed to be subsistence;
as they walked down below her crunching her leaves.
They took with them the pumpkin, those little thieves.
To tear open and carve to their masterpiece;
her over lying pain never seems to cease.
And within their thoughts there is a forever
And within their thoughts there is a forever.

And the pumpkin juice is tossed upon the wall
where the raven's black eyes gaze upon the feast
from the darkest corners, comes another beast,
And soon there is a court yard full of monsters;
Surely they were fairytale characters --
but no, look there, the pumpkin juice- it awakes!
to take its revenge on the great oaks mistakes.
The raven cawed, and the beasts began to chant;
as the pumpkin juice became the assailant.
And within their thoughts there is a forever
and within their thoughts there is a forever.

halloween night

It was very scary and dark
when we went to the 'haunted' park
it was to be believed that one had died
right beneath the slide
me and my friends went there
we got spooked by the sign warning to beware
we still continued on our voyage
i didn't believe the legend, i saw it as fake knowledge
i noticed the full moon shining on us
i thought, maybe it was the legend that i could trust
then there was a loud scream
the fear made me drop to my knees
if it were any other night but that night
i probably would've been alright
but that night was Halloween
and that always does something to me

Spooky Spells.

Make your enemies crazy or drive them insane,
Inject this next potion direct to a vein.
Eye of a newt and a puppy dogs tail,
Two spider eyes and the shell of a snail.
Mixed all together with a boomslang skin.
Take the juice of a leech and pour it all in.

For the love of your life to fall at your toes,
Follow this recipe and ingest through the nose!
The root of a daisy and four lacewing flies.
Armadillo bile with black beetle eyes.
Three pinches of nettle and Lionfish spine.
Stirred in a marinade of fresh nettle wine.

To release all your evil, forgive all your sin.
This next one is oral, just consume with a grin.
Use a Doxy egg white, one pomegranate seed.
A sliver of snake fang and half Gilly weed.
Add 2 rats whiskers stirred with bicorn horn.
Two sprigs of Knott grass but leave it un-torn.

Now for my specialty, it's the ability to fly.
This one's the doozy, must be poured in the eye.
Take one crushed moonstone, three porcupine quills,
Some murlap essence and two platypus bills.
Salamander scales with a wolfsbane petal.
Add one stem of fluxweed before it can settle.

Now some may be cynical, irrationally so.
If you won't try one out; how would you know?
New ingredients arrive, and the potions revised.
But take just one sip and you might be surprised.
These potions all work if you just can believe.
Yet they all must be taken on All Hallows Eve!

Cauldrons Bubble.

"Mwahaha," evil laughs and evil screams
heard through-out this winerish night.
With aburn leaves spread about the ground
and burdens of a lonely soul; hollow be the sound.

Whispers of a haunted house rise above the sky.
'Frighten me, frighten me,' all the little children cry.
How awful are their words echoing the air.
Breathing here in silence a witch too tempted now.
The leaves wrestle one another upon the ground,
and burdens arise in devlish, aggonizing screams.
"Don't you run from me, I'll catch you little devils."
with literal meaning they sit within bars, shaking in fear.
and, the cauldron's bubble rises above each hells level.

-My Monster-

Out it came,
It gave me a terrible fright.
With those big, big eyes,
It was quite the sight.

It was green and lumpy,
and looked like a monkey.
It was kind of chunky,
and getting' pretty funky.

Out it came,
it went KA-BAM!
it slipped on some jam.

"Hey man!"

It looked afraid,
but I grabbed it's hand.
I was surprised to find
his name was Dan.

He is my monster.
my fellow friend.
we like to go boo people
every now and then.
