Parrot Sandwich Riddle

Hey,

Here's a riddle that I thought was pretty cool.

A man drives up to a restaurant. He goes inside and orders a parrot sandwich. He then goes back to his car to eat his food. After taking a bite out of the sandwich, he pulls out a gun a shoots himself. Why did he shoot himself? you can ask yes or no questions and Ill answer them. Ill R/R/C 10 poems by the person who gets it right.

No, it wasnt an alive parrot. The parrot was indeed dead and cooked in the sandwich. The man had also never had a pet parrot in his life.
