What about poems that rhyme AND don't rhyme?

Seriously - I may be in the 6th grade, and even I don't like it when poems rhyme.

You don't have to rhyme. Rhyme is nice, but not an absolute necessity. Many great poets did not rhyme.

But the ones that don't rhyme should have a lovely sound quality in the words. That is what I like. They should mean something, yet sound beautiful or angry or hard or rhythmic when spoken aloud.

Of course, rhyming ones should have that too!

Okay. i don't like poems that don't and do rhyme...in my opinion it throws the flow off completely.

I think it's cool when your just writing free verse and then all the sudden in the middle there's a random unintentional rhyme. It just seems to flow gorgeously. Or that's my opinion anyways.

I don't think its all about rhyming I mean yeah it might sound better if it rhymes but it sounds even better when its what you feel and most of the stuff i write doesn't rhyme but my friends and other people say that they are good
