Complicated

Okay so this is a little hard to explain. This guy I know is constantly telling me he likes me and honestly I have some feelings for him too (although I would NEVER admit it to him). The thing is he used to go out with a girl I know but we don't even get along anymore because she hooked up with my ex (when we were together). Also this guy was telling me he liked me even when he was dating this girl but I never acted on it because that would be disrespectful and I'm not like that (even though she did).

But that was a long time ago and I'm skeptical of his claims because I'm still jaded because of my ex. Although I have feelings for him, I can't allow myself to allow them to go past that because I'm still in a rough spot and I don't know if I believe anyway. So I told him that we can just be friends. He seems so sincere but I won't budge... what do ya'll think?

I only have one thing to say....

Follow your heart.

I'm 15 and engaged to the love of my life and people are nagging at me everytime I turn around.I know where there coming from but I'm not going to let that change my mind.Just follow your heart and your own instincts and you'll be fine.
You can't lie to yourself so go for it.If you really like the boy then don't let anyone to stop you.You'll only be giving them their own satisfaction.If you're not over your ex then you may want to wait a while.Don't hurt yourself.

when you are comfortable with starting a relationship, you will... and until then you shouldnt jump into one...
and you need to give yourself more time to heal...

I think that I have feelings for him because I've known him for years. We are really close friends and we get along, we hang out a lot, and I'm really close to his family.

We talk a lot and he really is a nice person though but I'm not going there.

if a guy will cheat on one girl [IMO, telling another girl he likes her while dating one is 'emotional cheating']
he will PROBABLY do it to the next one too!

It doesn't matter to me who he cheats on (well it does cause he's my friend) because it won't be me. I'M NOT GONNA DATE HIM!
