A gift to and from who?

well i think a child is a gift from god but i also thank my mother for giving me life! does that make sense to anyone else?

to answer this question, i think that life is a gift. its one of the greatest gift in the world. if you didn't have life then you wouldn't have the ablity to love someone and spend time with that person. without life then you wouldn't be there to help out others who need help. you wouldn't be able to see those who love you and will not be known to them like u are now. i really think that if someone is willing to give up there life for no reason then they must rethink the decision they have made.

oh yeah i forgot..i know that i'm not that old yet and i dont know much about life, but well i for sure know that when you die you will make others around you sad and depress because of your death. god has giving you life and you should be greatful. when someone is born it brings joy to the people around them and thats the greatest gift that anyone can bring into your life. If god haven't given life to that person then others will not know the joy that they could have gotten if that person was born.

I think life is precious, but not really a gift.

It's more of a reaction...life is a reaction....basically to our parents mating...it's not like they had a dead husk of a baby...and then they got some life and gave it to us...but i always end up sounding like Captain Spock in these matters...

Live shoud be lived as if it's a precious gift....but i don't think it is...certainly not from God...but maybe from our parents if anything.
