Help - MP3 through guitar amp?

Does anyone know a way to sound music from an MP3 player through a guitar amp? I need to know soonish if possible. Can't seem to find it on the net...

Try a 1/4"jack to 1 1/2" jack lead and direct connect. Easy to whip up if you have a soldering iron.

Do it safely? Now how is a bright young man going to learn about electronics if they don't walk the tightrope from time to time? Homebrew!
