I was imprisoned by a severe cold loneliness
Accompanied by a tragic and lousy hand of fate
Pulled down by prejudices and degrading failures
All alone I stroll and played this unfair game of life

I'm the greatest of all mistakes God has ever created
But you showed me that I'm wrong and lifted up my soul
You held my hand and together we journey life
Taught me many things and I learned them so well

Treated me like I'm above of them all, though I'm not
Made me believe that I'm one of a kind and unique
You built a bridge for me leading to success and happiness
And made me feel I'm not all alone with you in this world

Because of you, I gain self confidence and strength
To face life's obstacles and narrow adversities
Then I felt I'm on the top of the world and saw you down
Your eyes tell me that you're truly happy of what I've become

As you pour down your soul and heart to me, help me through
Gave me what all you've got and you can do
I climb down to you to thank for the greatest gift of all
Without you in my life, I'm sure I will eventually fall

You got my love honey since from the start
And I don't want us to be separated apart

You Got My Love

I thought of you today
Your presence lingered upon a poet's diary.
Passionate and effective
Words of love never expressed more beautifully
As the essence of you stirred about
Each line captivated my mind
Emotions spark beyond control
Pointing me towards a world I have yet to find
Now halfway through this penciled paradise
Words moving with ease as a river flow
And with a single thought of you
The poem became effective
Even more-
The words of a genius
Graceful etched upon this page
It is absolutely amazing how
This poet knows exactly what to say
Overwhelming my senses
Indulging my soul
with the sweetest caress
I am now feeling so whole-
Could I possible feel
These few words of a poet?
Purifying my heart
Im in love- and I know it
My heart began to race
From each word of this diary
I am down to the end
Realizing-
You are now apart of me.

Everything Changed

I arose this morning
To rays of sun light
Gleaming gently across my face
As every morning
I filled my cup with coffee
Sweetened to perfection
And unwrapped a biscotti
Faded paths shadow the routes I have walk time and time before

But something was off
Something was different
Something just was not right

I greeted the noon
With lips of crimson
Smudges stained along the rim of a caramel frap
A typical afternoon
Or so I thought -
I have took these roads before

But something was off
Something was different
Something just was not right

The night fell
With frost
And silence echoed the walls
Consumed in darkness
Bitterness blankets my bones
For these chill are unforgiving
Reminding me-
I am alone

Considering that's there's still a few more spots left, I'm going to leave this up until Feb. 14. Any more entrants?

EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED

The days roll by, guilt filled with lies
The days roll on, like waves crashing the shore
And The days will keep like this, filled with the lies
Filled with everything you've done,
Everything you've changed

It used to be bliss, pure sweet happiness
But now, after your lies, its ended,
It has all changed, now all you do is snicker
All you do is lie, and all the love I had for you
still, will never die.

And even when you laugh at me,
when you make me want to cry
I will always remember you, I will always be yours
And though you're gone, and though you're taken
I will still stay loyal

And even now with all you've done to me
I'm willing to forgive, I'm willing to forget
I'm willing to move on
Even though everything

WITHOUT YOUR LOVE

The rain pelts down, collecting in puddles on the ground.
I'm running along a path, after him, after him
He's just ahead now, just beyond the next round.
The mud splashes up my legs, making barely a sound

I see him now, and he turns to look at me, as I come
The rain's plastering his black hair to his face
He smiles for a moment, then continues to run
Quickening the pace, I keep up, some

We'll tire soon, but not quite yet, we'll still race
I'm closing in on him, and he turns, surprised
He's caught unawares in my warm embrace
He takes my hands, in a giddy waltz, face to face

We spin, jig, prance and skip, beneath the setting sun
Finally we tumble to the dew swept grass.
As our breathing slows, we watch the moon rise, a day done
And the rain slows to a pitter patter pun

Puddles crowd around us, mirroring the moon
The magic of love surrounds us,
And I notice for once, his lips they're deep maroon
And as I lean forward I understand everything

Magic isn't imaginary, it takes many forms
Its everywhere around us, and within us
And as we kiss, I find nothing more to mourn
My life is now full, complete with you by my side

And without your love, which you so sweetly gave
I'd be lost once again amidst the low lying mist
You've always been there, keeping me safe
But promise me this; never ignore me, without
even a wave.

And as the moon reaches its post, high in the sky
From where it watches over, from where it guards
We watch it smile, and mimic it say good-bye
To the most glorious day, the most glorious time.
