Is cheerleading a sport?

My god...as ^ said it's no big deal. You seem to get mad if anyone has an opinion other then your own,so it seems pointless that you asked. If u wanna think cheerleadong is a sport, go ahead.if kevin wants to think sex is a sport, more power to him. If piano and guitar and singing are said to be sports, who cares? At the end of the day we all have our opinions. Thats what makes the world as it is. No need to get so angry about it, sheesh

Besides angelina, if you don't like the topic, or you're gonna critize what other people think, why do you post what you think. It's better to stay away, instead of arguing with everyone. You just make yourself look bad.

Ya im both...i cheer for football, basketball, and i do cometitive...all at my school but i mean the games r jsut practice for me pretty much cuz comeption is WAY hard!

Yep. cheerleading is definitely a sport. it requires energy, the use of your muscles, and a LOT of stamina.

Music is not a sport...sports are cheerleading, football, baseball, basketball, golf, soccer, swimming, lacross, softball, wrestling, etc

What makes music any less of a sport then those listed above? at my school choir is a sport. at the end of the year we get varsity and junior varsity sport awards, depending on the choir we are in. it fits everything that is said to make a sport a sport. but whatever..lol this topic is amusing.

^well lol im the flyer but my bases have only dropped me once and that was in practice we were tryen this thing where they thrrew me up and i had to twist like a pencil then land back in there arms for htem to pop me back up...well when i did my twist it was like my first time and i twisted forward and i landed on my back and i blocked out for a minute!

I know that its not a sport, but it was the point that anything can fit into what a sport supposedly is.

I dont think a mascot is a sport...well i mean my schools aint cuz all it does is walk around and give litle kids balls..
