Explicit poems

i dunno what everyone thinks about explicit poems describing SEX, DRUG USE, etc in a totally nude and pornographic way on this site. I forsee an event where that is abused.
I agree that variety is the spice of life and people have choices to write what they want and all, but what are the limits?

I think that we are entitled to write about these things as for many of of us they are reallity, and writing can help deal with and escape that reallity. I think you should realise why they are specifically posted in an explicit section which asks you to confirm that you want you to enter, if you don't like or can't appreciate these kinds of poems then I suggest you don't enter the explicit posts section...?

People should be able to write what ever they want.....if you don't like those sort of poems then the solution to your problem is so simple....JUST DON'T READ THEM......I don't like poems about drugs and suicide so I just don't read them. I can't get upset because people write about that sort of stuff.

true but if you do not wish to read such poems you do not enter that part of the site?

I think that having an 'Explicit Poems' part of this site is vital.

People are going to write poems about drugs, violence, sex etc for many different reasons.

It's better to have them all in one place so that people can read/post them if they want to and equally be able to avoid them.

The only problem that I see with this particullar section is that the underaged, younger members of the site can access them too. I'm not sure that I agree with 11/12 year olds reading about other peoples explicit sex lives.

If those type of poems aren't read here by 11/12 year olds they will be read some where else. All they have to do is go to any search engine. At least they are not watching clips and seeing pictures of people doing the things they are talking about in the poems. If their parents have a problem with them reading that type of stuff it's up to them to control what their children are looking at on the internet.

I don't think writing should be limited, people should be able to write about whatever they want, and that's what makes this site so cool, there's a place for everything.

i agree...to no extent should writing have a limit, its a way to express yourself, if ppl dont like it, they just dont have to read it.
