Final Fate

by Rob   Feb 8, 2015

You know you shouldn't have come here,
And you would leave if you only could,
But there is no going back now,
From this venture into the woods...

Deepened chills run down your spine,
From everything here you can see,
In what became the graveyard,
Underneath the shadowed trees...

Existence here is not possible,,
And there is no way to explain,
Just what it was that happened here,
On that cold and frightful day...

Forgiveness has not been mentioned,
An evil wind begins to blow,
Far up in the tops of trees,
Where the shadows are cast and cold...

Evanescent and alone in the darkness,
Where they stood there and watched them bleed,
From the bite of the cryptic Ferries,
Who planted in them their seed...

Their bodies drained and empty,
You can see in fear they died,
From the tops of the trees they watched you,
As you stood there and you cried...

For them it's simply over,
But for you it has just begun,
You turn and look behind you,
And there is just no where to run...

Immersed in all your anguish,
Plead a final goodbye to friends,
Death knows no favorite victim,
And this is where it all will end...

Hallowed by all their vengeance,
In the tops of the trees that wait,
For the next to come along,
But for you death is your fate...
