Haunted Woods

by Rob   Feb 13, 2015

Chained by an evil dominance,
Hear the wicked plead their cries,
Shadowed memories scorn the darkness,
Haunts the chilling way they died...

Enticement lured them deep inside,
The demons carnal grip,
Who placed the longing kiss of death,
Eloquently upon their tainted lips...

Illuminated under the hallowed moon,
Reminiscent of those who have passed,
Powerless victims of an enchanted stroll.
Upon the dark and winding path...

Distorted by shattered illusions cast,
Condemned by their sadistic ways,
Never knowing all they lived for,
Would be sacrificed that day...

I search for vindication,
Even though it has been years,
Thoughts bring back the shocking memories,
That brings back all the fears...

Suppressed inside for quite some time,
This fear dominates my life,
It began with a walk in the forest,
Which is precisely where they died...

They had walked the path in darkness,
In an attempt to expel the myth,
That the Ferries lived in the tree tops,
And could kill you with their kiss...

The myth they tried to exonerate,
Turned their laughter into frowns,
And left them bleeding on the path,
Where the Ferries took them down...

So close your eyes and share my dreams,
As the shadows circle my bed,
To come no more and never return,
They tried to show you but now their dead...
