A clap of thunder

by Ernest Johnson   Dec 22, 2015

A flash of lightning
A clap of thunder
As a hard rains falling down
Through the misery of life's window
With no respite to be found

Tottering along the pathways
Of life's treachery
Forlorn and broken
Mapping out my destiny

Memories of failures
And what was meant to be
My endeavors all wrought
My own misery

Life holds meager meaning
Since my fall from all grace
Tattered and beaten
My head hangs in disgrace

    Very powerful and captivating piece.
Your words are honest yet sad. I can feel your emotion throughout, well done.
