Your smile is bright and your heart is true,
Your last ever thought is of thinking of you,
You give and don't take but you never complain,
You always show them what it is they can gain,
You can't walk away from the ones who can't fight,
You bring out the peace in the darkness of night,
And with all of the loss you seem to endure,
Your intentions and love still seems to be pure,
You'd leave with no clothes to keep you warm,
If you knew it would help to calm the storm,
You'd jump from a height that would surely Mame,
If it meant you could suppress another's pain,
You'd feed those around the last of your meal,
If it meant that hungry no more they would feel,
Though the above is true and full in your heart,
You need to step back to where did it start?
Was it filtered through guilt or filtered through Pain,
Was it filtered through loss or filtered through gain,
Could it be that dreams that have Haunted you,
Have held on so tight that you can not break through,
Has it meant that for you to sleep at night,
You've had to spend days in a victorious fight,
To help and pray and love and mend,
To run and jump and stretch and bend,
how can you feel good for all that's done,
If the reflection you leave in no honourable one,
Your smile is dark and your heart is dew,
Your first ever thought is of thinking of you,
You don't give you just take and you always complain,
You always show them what it is that you gain,
You only walk away from the ones who can fight,
You bring out the darkness to create the night,
And with all of the loss you seem to create,
Your true intentions will seal your fate,
Remember the me who will always show face,
Who will always remember and always disgrace,
The me who's mighty and hurtful and true,
The me who created that lonely you,
The me who will not allow you to win,
The me who will always remind you of sin,
You can not run and you can not hide,
So strap yourself in and prepare for the ride,
Don't feel like you will cause I know that won't,
Don't feel like you do cause I know that you don't,
I'll haggle and pester and find you in dreams,
Until all that surrounds you is all that it seems,
I'll fight you and bite you and take you to war,
I'll never retrench and always keep score,
So hush little baby for now you will see,
The air that you breath is rationed by me....

Amy, this is really good in structure, rhyming and flow. You did a great job and it was so beautiful it sent shivers down my spine and tears to my eyes like being held captive by someone's darkness.

    Wow, Em
