SHADOW DEMONS

by Bob Green   May 17, 2006

They lurk in the shadows,
Where you least expect them,
They wait to attack
When your time runs thin.

They follow everyone: even you
They can only be tracked down by fate,
You try and find them
But in the end you only see what's on your plate.

You can't get rid of them
Unless you believe and except in Christ;
You could just brush them off to the side
But you know you can't get rid of them without a fight.

Every chance they get
There tear you apart emotion but emotion
Until there's nothing left
With out question

You have one Shadow Demon,
One alone,
It follows only you, not anyone else,
For it singles you out and attacks from below.

Your Shadow Demon might be hidden deep inside, someone you are close to
Someone you wouldn't expect.
Someone that could get close to you then Stab you in the back when you're down.
The someone that you wouldn't accept.

This person with your Shadow Demon
Should not be feared
To fear would be to destroy your life more
What is could be replaced though this might sound weird.

The more you love this person
The less of the Shadow Demon within them,
Though they could be dangerous.
They can be strong to differ, her or him demon.

When you get there evil weak
Is when you have pulled that Shadow Demon
Succeed and your see the differ
And there be such a tart.

We see are shadow demon we do
But when it comes to others, you can't see like for themselves,
So you would be like the rest and do the same.
But in the end we all have had a Shadow Demon in our self.
