Seven Seconds In Heaven

by FountainsOfBlood   Mar 29, 2008

You see her there
In the distance, so far away
If only she would notice you
Keep cool, stay relaxed
She wont come over, that's a fact
Eyes widen, cautiously treading
She turns your way
Heading in your direction
Panic! What will I say?!
You start to shake,
Begin to sweat
What if you say something
You later regret?
Swallow hard, you bring a smile
Glistening back all the while
Stare up her features
Perfect face
Sweetest eyes
Amazing grace
She's so close now
How about a wave?
She raises her hand
Returning the gesture
Are you dead?
Pinch. Still breathing
God, you can smell her
Adolescent charm
Her eyes glace away
Past your head
Brushing your shoulder
That simple touch
So irresistible
Can't get enough
You missed the shot
Now she's gone
7 seconds in heaven
Worth it all along
