Are you scared without me?

by Ian Robert   Aug 16, 2008

Are you scared without me
Do you miss the way we used to be
Can you live alone or do you wish things could go back
If this past year could be recycled for a new piece of paper
Would you write a happy story about a girl who found love
Or would you let this crumble as you fumble with that pen
Staying up all night thinking of what to scribble since like ten
O clock but wont ever stop till the words feel just right
Cause Ill bet I mean that much to you.. oh lovely I know its true

And the sky is so baby blue with whispers of white clouds
Are you scared, or can you finally be proud
Do you miss the way we used to be
Living together in perfect symphony
If this past year could be burnt down like that old tree
Where we carved our names inside a heart
We could make a new start and do it ten times bigger
Yea wed mix in all the ashes to prove to the paint
That we want it to be beautiful yet also disputable
So we can argue for hours who loves who more

Most guys just worry if they will score
Yet that leaves me bored and feelin lonely
I just want to be the only boy in your eyes
Cause I love the way she looks down and sighs
Its sad but when I get to cheer you up its enough
To keep me going for another night
Even when we fight I know we might
But after that sight we can close the chapter
Put down the pen and fill up with laughter
