Mother nature's words
Kind and gentle,
Spoken through her children
She speaks to me;

"Be strong," says the ant
"Your true strength
knows no limits."
Few know the power of these words,
"You are my inspiration." I whisper.

"Be free," sings the bird
"Simply spread your wings,
fly." I close my eyes and soar
through the sea of blue.
"You are my soul." I coo.

"Love unconditionally," growls the dog
"You must love yourself
before you can love anyone else."
My heart beats, aches, screams.
"You are my guide." I cry.

I hear her every word,
Every breath, every song.
Leading me from path
to path, destination ever changing.
Mother earth is always saying,
"My child, no matter where
you go, you are home."
