Life's Game

by Spider Monkey   Sep 22, 2008

Laying in this bed
I can't get to sleep
Staring at the ceiling
My thoughts are running deep

I'm thinking so many things
My head is starting to spin
I'm playing life's game
And I just can't seem to win

This little game is called love
Which I really can't explain
All I can say for now
Is that it can put you in severe pain

It can destroy all your dreams
It can even break your heart
Both of those can happen
Seconds after you leave "START"

But when you reach the end
The game was worth the play
Only then will you find your true love
And with them you shall forever stay

I'm so very far from the end
But soon will come the day
Where I will find my true love
And with me he shall stay

I will go through the pain
The hurt and the tears
Because when I see his face
He will take away my fears

He will fully complete me
He will be all I need
He will never hurt me
Or ever make my heart bleed

Yes, I will wait for this man
I will wait till the end
Because it will all be worth it
And only then will my heart mend
