Demented Fairy Tales (Acrostic)

by Jennifer RIP Lesthat Hayden   Oct 13, 2008

Dishonest with every breath you take,
Ever lying in the morning, in bed, awake,
Memorizing each word I have spoken,
Even lines mumbled, untrue, or broken.
Never understanding the words I've told.
Tormented by meanings you can't unfold.
Enticing definitions beyond beliefs.
Disobeying the comfort of reliefs.

Frightening tales in spoken word,
Aligning memories never heard.
Intriguing the minds of children so small.
Reeling them in, yes abducting them all.
You better be careful with what I say,

Telling these fables will end in a bad way.
All children lured in, to stories so dim.
Leaving their souls to a place so grim.
Evil lurks in the fables, the fairy tales read.
So, you best remember all I have said.

I can never think of fairy tales the same way again! Great job, I had a picture with me the whole way through.

This poem was very unique and I enjoyed reading it. I like your choice of vocabulary in each line, it really gives effect to your poem. The title is an eye catcher and I love the ending. 5/5

This poem was great and had some truth to it. The format was good and the rhyming helped keep the flow going good through out the poem. 5/5

This was a very good acrostic piece !!
I loved the darkness in it, too deep and powerful.
