Childs play

by joanne   Nov 18, 2008

You grasp my hand like a priceless jewel
I hit you back playfully never to be cruel
You flash a toothy smile and pull me near
My rapid beating heart i’m shy and in fear
We lay there silently. I finally tell the truth
Hardships I face everyday of my youth
you hold me close and kiss me much
Tastes so sweet and loving in touch
i lay back in the grass, floating on air
you follow my actions and ruffle my hair
I grab your hands and start to draw lines
Hand meanings of your life I redefine
We listen to the sounds of the day
Our eyes stare glistening all is gay
We now knew we could never part
two bodies different sharing one heart
