Life is like a photograph; you develop from the negatives."
    - Quotation mark at the begining of the line too. (:

"Judge a book by it cover its acceptable to some, the way they act"
[Judge a book by IT'S cover IS acceptable to some, the way they act]
    - So true.

Michael, I absolutely love this poem. It has to be a favorite of mine. I adore it, completely. It may just be the meaning and the complete fact that I'm a sucker for poems that tell the truth in a sweet way. A way that can make others feel better about themself and can make the person who wrote it do the same. I think that this is the type of poem that CAN AND WILL touch the hearts of many, many people.

I think that even though you're relating this to God, who I believe in completely, it can also be related to humans. What we see people as and how we take advantage of personal appearances. The meaning is what we see, what we know, and what we want so badly to follow ... but very few will do so.

A wonderful picture created of our life's journey ... loved the whole idea of comparing it with developing photographs...

"The total amount of light allowed to fall on the medium is exposure
When we are focused on the negative it is hard to maintian composer"

^^ though I loved the concept and the meta[hors used but i found them very long... it didnt match with the poem's rhythem ... but beautiful lines indeed...

this is yet another unique write from you
    keep writing :)

"Life is like a photograph; you develop from the negatives."

The total amount of light allowed to fall on the medium is exposure
When we are focused on the negative it is hard to maintain composure

Our lord sees us, as we are, without images, and distorted fact

The light of truth may fall, but it will rise when developed well
I believe a double exposure is a useless picture in heaven, or in hell

I have deleted all my least favorite lines from the poem thus leaving the strongest ones, the ones i loved. The idea of contrasting life to a photograph is enlightening and refreshing. It is a good parallel to the way we live life. We develop from the negative (character building), double exposures useless ( people who straddle the line and stand for nothing. These metaphors are simply unique. I did not like the fact you had the words judge a book by its cover in the poem, and i felt that even though it is what you were trying to say i did not like the line about giving flowers. I sincerely wish those lines were changed. However you are the published one, not I. I loved it, and thank you for using your creativity. 5/5
