Time

by Dan Bloom   Jan 15, 2009

Time moves quickly.
It pushes at all life has to offer
and carries the universe upon his shoulders.
As a part of this world
I, too, am forced to press forward by it's power.

In this physical entity,
Struggling to maintain balance,
I have learned that without a break
I will fall behind the pace it travels
And gradually age into the dust of the earth.

Such a curse!
This life is a tragedy only knowing that death sharply follows.
Knowing that this earthly fate is inevitable.

But there is hope...

Even though time tugs at us both,
Building us up and breaking us down,
You remind me of it's temporal substance.
For, time is heathen by nature
Because it serves no purpose
And works for not a single benefit.

Alone I am weak,
but together we are Gods among Gods
Strong enough to bind the arms of time
To create ourselves an eternity we deserve

Can it only be done because we are one divided in two
Meant to find each other
when the time is right
And to finally rise together above the rest.

My love,
I have found you
To hold you within my heart
And to cherish you always,
To comfort you when in need of comfort
And to rescue you when in bondage.

Now that we are one once more,
Time is now ours to command
For our love is unbreakable.
Not even death awaits our souls,
for my mortal soul has melded with an angel's.

And all at once,
Immortality has been crafted through our perfect prophecy,
Giving us an eternal breath of life.

    I like this one
    It was very well written
And I love how you turned this
    Into such a wonderful peice
At first I thought it was
going to be sad but it just turned out wonderful.
