The Letter That You Left for Me

by Ian Robert   Feb 15, 2009

I was taking my time walking home
Staring at the sky wondering how these sun beams
Find their way to all these pretty flowers it just seems

So surreal you know like a picture perfect kiss
Thats how I survive you know, with all these photos like paper mache
Ill defend all we have with these castles of sand and walls of clay

Just like all the beautiful times in life
Its far too late for falling in love, the beast will remain, the petals will decay
What we have made here, the waves will wash away

Under water, trying to breathe, how do you conceive that its all over
Holding tight onto your four leaf clover, asking god if this is really the end
I cant comprehend this, condescending all these years, I just want this to be my final amend

Your eyes make me apprehend what you are thinking
The taste in your mouth leaves in question how much you have been drinking
And the letter that you left for me makes my heart start sinking
