Struck

by dandelion   Mar 3, 2009

The things I never said I wanted, you gave in a way that is unconditional
You've granted the desires of my heart that has long been engraved in self-denial

I wanted to fight, to battle the forces of what you call love
Yet when I hear your voice ever-so-intimately speaking, I'm just ready to raise my white flag

I wanted to resist, to escape this deep feeling you're putting me in
But one passionate kiss and I get lost in the sweetness of your lips

I wanted to stop myself but one heavenly smile and all goes down the drain
And if to love is to surrender, with you I swear I'll give every drop of blood flowing in my veins.
