This is so very beautiful. Very refreshing indeed. Who would like to wake up from such dream but then in the end reality hits and so does the alarm clock. Perfect ending.
    Awesome write dear

This is beautiful, Rachel. So visual - I can almost smell the lilacs (my favorite!)

    Rachel.
Oh my dear such beautiful imagery you have painted here. I can't pick a favorite stanza because they are all wonderful. All the various flowers mentioned Lilacs, Tulips, daffodils, Roses, sunflowers, daisies, bluebells and jasmine (jasmine is one of my faves)These flowers bring so many different colors to the taste pallete. The imaginatipn it provides brings it to a reality. The sadness of it all is that it's just a dream.

In the garden of my dreams
    Lilacs run free for miles
    Tulips and daffodils smile
    Cotton clouds float above

    All is peaceful and serene
    Solar beams reach down
To give the kiss of warmth
    Baby's breath welcomes you

There is a throne of roses
    Thorns cease to exist
    Brooks wave with water hands
Waterfalls throw rainbows to the sky

    Lilly pads shimmer
    The trees gently whisper
    Sonnets of the coming spring
    Harps and flutes accompany

    Lilac bushes scent the air
    Sunflowers dance and play
    The great oak gathers carnations
In our lives all is fair and just

You and I stroll down memory lane
    Daisies recant times past
Before us is the fountain of youth
    Yet we don't drink

In the garden of my dreams
    True love reigns supreme
    Bluebells and jasmine applaude
    Then the alarm clock rings

Of course I didn't mean to repost your poem I was looking for stanzas to include and forgot to erase that part. My apologies.

The imagery in this just reaches out and pulls you right in to a spring day. Very well done Rachel.
